Teamfight Tactics already appears to be a hit, but it’s missing one thing this week’s other big Auto Chess descendent has: a mobile edition. Valve’s Dota Underlords launched into open beta this week on PC, iOS, and Android – and full cross-play between the three platforms. League’s Teamfight Tactics, meanwhile, is PC only for now. Riot says that may change, though. “We aren’t ruling out anything,” Riot’s Ed Altorfer says in a Reddit AMA, “including a mobile version of TFT at some point… having said that, right now we’re focused on getting the PC version right – with no compromises – first. That’s frankly where we have the most expertise and an existing player base.” After another fan asks if the developers were concerned about not having a mobile edition while other autobattlers do, Altorfer adds “We’re obviously going to be looking at what all our competitors are doing in the same way we would for any experience we want to make, but it’s important for us to focus on where we believe we can create compelling experiences – gameplay, personalization, IP, etc.”
