Building the perfect dynasty in Total War: Three Kingdoms is central to ensuring a prosperous China, but it’s not always easy to make sure the stars align in your favour. In a new update, however, Creative Assembly is making that perfect match a little simpler to engineer. In the game’s latest update (outlined in a blog post published earlier today), which is currently available via an opt-in beta, the developers have introduced the ability to arrange a marriage for members of your court. For the low, low price of 4,000 gold, any eligible bachelors and bachelorettes can simply be married off, whether or not they’re part of your family. To make keeping your dynasty going even easier, the update also readjusts the gender ratio for newborn babies. You’ll now have a 50/50 chance of giving birth to a baby boy or a baby girl, and change that Creative Assembly says “should make it easier to continue family lines and to organise marriages in the mid to late game.”
