Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will use dedicated servers for its PvP mode, Ghost War. “I’m extremely delighted to announce that Ghost War PvP in Breakpoint will have dedicated servers,” said Ghost War’s lead designer, Alexander Rice, at a press event last month. “It’s probably been the most-requested community feature for a while.” Rice also highlighted the advantages of dedicated servers not just for quality of life in general, but in particular when counteracting cheaters, hackers, and exploits. The decision is one of several that Rice outlined which clearly indicate that Ubisoft is taking Ghost War far more seriously in Breakpoint than it had in its predecessor, Wildlands. By drawing on game data and other points of community feedback, Ghost War has had a thorough overhaul to address the community’s wishlist and make it a fairer, more exciting experience.
