Since World of Warcraft Classic launched last week, and players were transported back to Azeroth, 2006-style, the game has seen some queues form both inside and outside its realms. Developer Blizzard has since said it’s “substantially increasing” WoW Classic realm capacity – and it looks like free character moves for select realms are also on the way. Blizzard has announced on the WoW Classic forums that some free character moves are on the way very soon. The post says “we are working to open our Free Character Move service for select WoW Classic realms in the coming days. When free character moves become available from one of the most highly-populated realms, players will see the option to initialize a free character move on either the character select screen or the queue screen of the realm.” This effectively means that many players will get a chance to move their character to another realm without losing all of the progress they’ve been busy making in the game so far. However, according to the post, characters won’t be able to move if any of the following three things apply: they’re a guild leader, they have “active auction listings or bids”, or they have mail.
