House Party, the game about being at a house party, is set to leave early access after a several year stay. Developer Eek! Games has announced it plans for an official launch by the end of Summer 2020. You may recall House Party as the game that was temporarily banned from Steam due to sexual content. Back then, it was restored to the storefront soon after, when Eek! Games enabled the ‘censored’ mode by default. In the years since then, House Party has lurched around in early access, with new characters, stories, and features added periodically. House Party is currently on sale for 25% off, but as of January 6 its price will see an increase to $24.99 USD, which is what it’ll cost going forward into its retail edition. In a post to Steam, House Party’s developers say they plan on adding several more features to the game in the leadup to its official launch. Players can look forward to a female playable character, who will experience the existing story from a somewhat different perspective. Eek! Games also lists “intimacy animation improvements” (which I take to mean the videogame mannequin sex being made to appear less off-putting) and “Vickie Vixen’s unforgettable finale” (no idea on that count, I’m afraid).
